Gluing & Lamination

Gluing ensures a secure attachment of the reproduction (for instance a leaf on paper, a photograph, canvas) to its underlay (e.g. an MDF board, laminated boards PS or PUR, plywood).

Lamination ensures complete covering of the reproduction by a plastic film with a UV filter and surface of varying qualities (e.g. gloss, matt, structured).

Gluing and lamination are irreversible processes, which are carried out either with heat in a vacuum or by cold-rolling. The maximum size for gluing and laminating with heat in a vacuum is 125 × 185 cm. The maximum width for cold-rolling gluing and laminating is 140x300 cm; the length depends on the size of the underlay.
